How much comes off one room

Weekday incentive · per room

First night
NT$800
Consecutive 2nd night
NT$1,200
Up to, in total
NT$2,000

These are per-room, per-night maximums, and no claim exceeds what that room actually costs that night. 2 nights per person at most, on consecutive dates.

One per room

Every room you open needs one registered guest

One registered guest per room

  • One registered guest staying in each room
  • Each claim needs the registered person to actually stay and show their ID or NHI card at check-in
  • Two registered guests in one room still count once

Organiser's tip: before the trip, settle who sleeps in which room and who registers — that beats asking the whole group to sign up. Claims are up to the number of rooms each house may claim for; we confirm the count when you book.

FAQ

Questions

How do we actually get the discount?

Three steps. Register on the Tourism Administration site with a photo of your Taiwan ID or NHI card (any time before or on the day of check-in); book a weekday stay with us; show that ID or NHI card at check-in and we take the discount off on the spot. No registration means no discount, and registering is not a guarantee — the Administration may stop the scheme early once the budget runs out.

Which nights count as weekdays?

Check-in Sunday through Thursday, excluding national holidays and their long weekends — the same definition our own rate card uses.

How much comes off per room?

Hengchun is a general region: up to NT$800 off the first night and up to NT$1,200 off a consecutive second night, NT$2,000 at most. 2 nights maximum per person, on consecutive dates (the second night may be elsewhere), and no claim exceeds what that room actually costs that night.

We are booking the whole house — can everyone claim?

Not one claim each — one claim per room per night. The official Q&A's own example: two eligible guests sharing a room still get a single claim for that night. So the number of claims follows the rooms you open (up to the number of rooms each house may claim for), not the size of your group, and each claim needs the registered person to actually stay and show their ID or NHI card at check-in. We will confirm the count with you when you book; the official Q&A is the authority.

How many times can one person use it?

Each national ID number may take part once in the weekday stay scheme and once in the birthday voucher scheme.

Is this the same as the National Travel Card?

No. The National Travel Card is a way civil servants pay; the travel subsidy is the government taking money off the room rate. Per the official Q&A, the card is charged the rate after the discount. If you want to use both on one booking, check the payment steps with us when you book.

Can the birthday voucher be combined with it?

Yes — the official rules allow both. The windows differ: the weekday scheme ends 30 Nov, the voucher 31 Dec.

How does the birthday voucher work?

Vouchers went to lottery winners only (entry closed on 8 Sep). A winner staying in person on a weekday between 10 Sep and 31 Dec gets up to NT$1,200 off per room per night, one night per person.

When does it end?

The weekday stay scheme runs to 30 Nov 2026. The Tourism Administration may announce an early close once the budget is spent, so earlier is safer.
